To join our expanding electrical power conversion team in Madrid, we are actively seeking an Electrical Schematic Designer. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team that is working on challenging technical projects in several sectors of activity and with a great impact on the environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Being responsible for drawing electrical diagrams of power converters in the range of 1-10 MW, working as part of an engineering team developing power systems under the supervision of senior Electrical Engineers.
* Participate in Product Development and R&D activities among multiple product categories.
* Generate manufacturing, assembly and bill of materials documents, maintain product data in our electronic document management system and ERP.
* Collaborate on the supplier qualification activities, working closely with the purchasing department in their interactions with distributors.
* Participate in the industrialization of new products and maintenance of existing ones by supporting the production department.
* Autonomously defining and selecting electrical components according to the inputs from the Power Electronics team.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience drawing electrical schematics in general electrical engineering background, specific power electronics background is a plus.
* Demonstrated experience in the design of electrical diagrams and schematics using CAD tools (SchemELECT, SolidWorks Electrical, SEE Electrical, …).
* Drawing cable and harness schematics at sub-assembly and cabinet level. Drawing of command-and-control schematics.
* Knowledge of electrical insulation devices, techniques and norms.
* Experience on the electrical design for medium size power converters, battery storage, renewable energy converters or traction power systems in the range of 1-10 MW.
* Integration of protections, control systems, semiconductors and measuring devices withing power converters.
* Knowledge of the mechanical aspects of power converters; liquid and forced air-cooled assemblies, distribution of components in cabinets, different degrees of IP, outdoor applications...
* Experience with Safety Integrity Level (SIL), IEC 61508.
* Familiar with power converters related standards and norms as IEC61439 and IEC62477.
* Fluency in English (B2 or higher); knowledge of additional languages such as French or Spanish is advantageous.
* Willingness to travel occasionally (about once every two months).
* A team player who is autonomous, solutions-oriented, and capable of taking technical responsibilities.
