Overview
Job Description : A vacancy for a RF / EW Operational Data Engineer (Transport & Helicopters) has arisen within Airbus. The successful applicant will join the Engineering Department and will be based in Torrejón de Ardoz Air Force Base.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct contribution, guidance and technical support on every development stage for systems under ESAOGEL responsibility.
* Operational Data definition and evaluation for SAF: SW, rigs and Flight Test.
* Support SAF in international exercises, e.G. Red Flag.
Skills and Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in Engineering (Telecommunication / Aeronautical / Computer Science).
* Experience and knowledge in Avionics Systems.
* Requirements, Specification, Design, Certification and Qualification on AVS Systems mainly focused on Electronics Warfare.
* Knowledge of Operational Data impact on Avionics Weapon Systems at different levels of integration.
* AVS Rig experience with regards to Operational Data generation and validation: Electronics Warfare, Armament, Sensor Fusion and HMI Data.
* Radio frequency basic knowledge.
* RF signals fundamentals.
* Laboratory Test Equipments.
* Desirable knowledge about Ground based Air Defense Systems with regards to RF signals.
* Know-how on Ground and Airborne Radar signal fundamentals.
* Operational knowledge.
* Experience in defining a set of data for Operational Flight Test;
this involves every type of data: platform, mission and weapon data.
* Experience on customer operations with military aircraft, i.E. deployments, missions, military briefing / debriefing.
* Fluent written and spoken English.
* Availability to travel long term periods.
Nice to have
* SW and BBDD development experience will also be valuable.
* IT literate (MS Office applications, database tool management is desirable).
