We’re looking for a Software Engineer to support the growth of the Source Web. Product.Source Web is Vodafone’s web component library implementing re-usable react components for multiple markets across Vodafone. It is fed into from our source design system which provides the building blocks for all designs within Vodafone. Your primary focus will be delivering high quality code to support the growth of Source Web within
Vodafone.
This role is perfect for a front end engineer who has commercial experience with React, building highly performant websites and has a passion for design and user experience.
As a Sofware engineer (nombre de la posición) you´ll be in charge of the following responsibilities:
- Support timely delivery of technical solutions within Source Web, with well written, well tested code and documentation
- Work closely with the other developers within the team helping to refine stories within a technical backlog
- You will own stories through to competition, working with other engineers to deliver them to the shared definition of done.
- You will mentor junior developers within the team, supporting them to learn best practices and grow their careers
- You will support other teams with using Source Web, helping them solve issues and resolve blockers through technical and UX enhancements to Source Web
**What do you bring?**
- Excellent level of written and spoken English
- Good JavaScript experience, including asynchronous programming, pec closuers,
- types and ES6 etc.
- Experience of SCSS, LESS or Styled Components
- Commercial experience with React (including hooks)
- Good level understanding of testing strategies including: Unit testing, Integration
- Testing, Visual Regression Testing
- Knowledge of building production ready websites with an understanding of accessibility, responsive designs and performance
**Nice to have skills**
- Experience with lerna in a monorepo
- Experience with styleguidist or storybook
- Commercial experience with a component library (MaterialUI or similar)
- Experience with Typescript
