Job Description
We are looking for aShopify Developer Intern to work across Act Second’sagency andventure teams. The idóneo candidate will assist in the development, customization, and optimization of Shopify-based websites for our clients and portfolio ventures. This role offers hands-on experience in web development, with exposure to multiple industries and brands. You will work closely with experienced developers, designers, and marketers, contributing to real-world projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shopify Development: Assist in building and customizing Shopify stores for both agency clients and ventures in the portfolio.
- Third-Party App Integration: Support the integration and configuration of third-party Shopify apps to enhance store functionality.
- Content Updates: Help with product uploads, collection management, and general content updates across Shopify stores.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Identify and resolve technical issues related to Shopify websites, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the design, content, and marketing teams to ensure web development aligns with creative and business goals.
- Performance Optimization: Assist in optimizing site performance, including page load speed, mobile responsiveness, and usability.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of websites to ensure they meet design and functionality requirements before launch.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (3rd or 4th year), or a recent graduate.
- Strong interest in web development and e-commerce platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work on-site in Barcelona.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience or internship working on Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and best practices.
- Basic understanding of SEO for e-commerce websites.
- Hands-on experience in Shopify development across various industries and brands.
