Human by nature.ResponsibilitiesBe the primary contact for the region/division on packaging activities and act as lead expertCoordinate packaging validation activities and collect packaging qualification documents with project teamsDrive packaging trials when required as per the validation plan and provide inputs for manufacturing/packaging cost and Capex plansNetwork with Packaging Engineering team, Process Engineering, Procurement, Safety, Quality and Supply chain teamsSupport regional teams for the evaluation and selection of packaging vendors and periodically conduct vendor reviewsLead packaging projects for the region/division and implement packaging processes, best practice and guidelines as agreed with the Global Packaging TeamBe responsible for Inbound and Outbound Packaging process & improvementsSupport overall Manufacturing process excellence in addition to packaging related processes such as Packing & Filling process, Material Handling Process, Storage and transportationAddress and report regulatory exposures (Dangerous Goods, Food Contact Materials, etc.) and ensure all packaging material meet safety and quality standards in consideration of legal and country requirementsProvide support to Operation and Quality teams on issues related to packaging materials, packaging equipment to determine best-fit resolutions and dedicated customer issue management for packagingSolve packaging and labelling issues and ensure data quality of packaging material in the system and accuracy of documents stored in the global packaging repositoryInspire and support the business in developing innovative packaging solutions for new product categories (e.g. integrated solutions) and support the implementation of alternative packaging options and new materials in line with Plastic Circularity strategyQualificationsPreferably Master's degree in packaging technology or relevant experience in packaging engineering and processesMore than 5 years of operational / R&D; experience in a packaging positionExperience in packaging in a B2B industry with experience in food ingredients or related industryInternational exposureExpertise in Safety & Food Safety regulation; exposure to Dangerous Goods transportation normsExperience working in a matrix organizationProficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantageKnowledge about packaging for Food content (Oral Care, Food Compliance) and cosmetics (Active Beauty, Liquid Compounding)Willingness to be based in Ashford (UK) or Sant Celoni (Spain) and report to the Head of Manufacturing Excellence, Global Operations F&B;#LI-Onsite#LI-Y
