We are looking for an R&D Senior Control Engineer to join our Product Innovation & Development team in Seville, working on next-generation solutions for Power Conversion Systems, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), renewable integration, and grid-forming technologies.
You will be part of a highly qualified multidisciplinary team composed of experts in power electronics, control systems, firmware, software, hardware, validation, and mechanical engineering. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative modular converter platforms for grid-connected and DC applications, helping shape the future of energy systems.

Develop and implement advanced control algorithms for power converters, electrical machines, and renewable energy systems.
Analyse system stability and electrical transients, including faults, voltage dips, frequency disturbances, and power oscillation damping (POD).
Perform modelling and simulation of electrical systems, renewable plants, microgrids, and storage solutions using tools such as PSCAD.
Support grid code compliance studies and validation of Grid-Following and Grid-Forming control strategies.
Conduct proof-of-concept activities, debugging, commissioning, and validation of power conversion systems in laboratory environments.
Analyse logs, signals, and performance metrics, generating clear technical reports to support engineering, quality, and certification teams.
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
Strong knowledge of frequency and voltage regulation controls for electrical networks.
Proven experience developing and implementing closed-loop control systems for power electronics converters and/or electrical machines.
Knowledge of Grid-Forming and Grid-Following systems, renewable integration, and energy storage applications.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python;
Advanced English level and strong motivation to work on innovative energy technologies.
