Job Description:
We are looking for Junior Credit Risk Analysts and with advanced English to join a dynamic team at a global payments company. The selected candidates will be responsible for managing payment disputes, handling credit risks, and driving process improvements within the payment platform. This is a key role to ensure security, compliance, and payment optimization in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Analyst:
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing merchants by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant business data.
- Monitor the merchant portfolio and transactions to detect suspicious or abnormal processing patterns indicating increased risk or fraud.
- Investigate high-risk merchants, evaluate risk exposure, and recommend mitigation strategies such as holding funds, adjusting reserve levels, or terminating accounts.
- Generate risk reports and provide recommendations to management on risk mitigation.
- Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to develop effective risk management strategies.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Credit Risk Analyst: 1–3 years of experience in credit risk assessment or commercial underwriting, preferably within the payments, fintech, or financial services industries.
- Advanced English proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English to work effectively in a global environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with CRM tools and other online tools (Google Apps, etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial statements and assess business risks.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with an emphasis on accuracy and process optimization.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of payment systems, credit card processing, and risk management is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of additional languages, especially Chinese, is a plus.
- Experience with financial and statistical analysis tools.
- Familiarity with the payments industry, fraud detection, or merchant acquiring.
