Internship Overview
Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to develop as professionals of the future.
You will study a Master, organized in training blocks, and combine it with an 11-month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree.
The internship starts early October ****, lasts 11 months, and is full-time (40h/week).
You will receive an attractive study grant.
Challenges and Responsibilities
You will be part of the Digital Workplace team inside the Information Technology Directorate, responsible for all the technologies people use to get work done in today's workplace.
Inside the Digital Workplace, the Personal Workplace team ensures that all employees have the right solutions to work from anywhere at any moment with the right equipment.
In your role within the Personal Workplace Team, you will contribute to the RUN, BUILD TO RUN, and Entry Into Service phases for all Application Services.
You will manage the Application Catalog, MDM for deployment, and ensure the proper availability and deployment of the needed applications and masters for employees worldwide.
Assist the SCCM SDM in monitoring the integral health of application services in AH, including tracking incident backlogs, incident resolution efficiency, request catalogs, and SLA fulfillment.
Support the maintenance of the CMDB, knowledge databases, and the creation of operational dashboards under the guidance of the Product Manager.
Shadow the Product Manager in managing our external subcontractor performing the RUN activities for software and OS solutions.
Contribute to the shift-left approach by participating in daily exchanges with the IT Service Desk and the application support supplier.
Observe and support the Major Incident resolution and escalation processes, learning how to involve the right roles and ensuring continuous process improvement.
Project, Build & Architecture Collaboration
Support the Application Services Product Manager in any RUN, BUILD, or BUILD-TO-RUN activities requested for the Software and OS scope.
Collaborate with the Digital Workplace Architects & Experts by assisting in building or updating architecture dossiers and helping evaluate new features and technologies.
Contribute to the strategic product and service roadmaps by researching and proposing new ideas to the Personal Workplace Product Managers.
Assist in ensuring the proper Entry to Service of new features, helping prepare the environment for permanent improvements and new releases (in-house or vendor-developed).
Cross-Team Teamwork
Team up with the Digital Workplace team & other PSLs to provide backup support, while learning how cross-functional backup structures operate.
Participate in regular reviews of Personal Workplace Team routines, including Group PI Planning, weekly team meetings, and product team meetings.
Documentation, Change Management & Continuous Improvement
Actively document the scope of the activity.
Work closely with the department Change Manager and Product Manager to secure smooth change management for end-users, VIPs, and Assistants.
Translate operational requirements into user-friendly guides for end-users and detailed knowledge articles for Service Desk Agents.
Identify and propose regular improvement opportunities within the scope of the software activity.
Your Profile
Academic Background: Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Foundational Knowledge: A strong interest in or academic exposure to IT Service Management (ITSM) or IT Product Management frameworks.
Methodology: Basic understanding of ITIL concepts is highly valued.
SCCM & MDM: Willing to learn knowledge about PC Fleet management infrastructure, such as SCCM and Intune.
Cloud Platforms: Willing to learn Intune, WS1 and Google Workspace Admin platform skills.
ITSM Tools: Willing to learn ServiceNow for IT operational usage.
Core Competencies: Basic exposure to Component Integration, Testing, Solution Deployment, and Performance Management through university coursework or personal projects.
Customer & Process Focus: Ability to assist in designing IT operations that align with customer expectations, with an interest in learning Service Level and Problem Management.
Analytical & Structured: Strong practical problem-solving skills and knack for document production (creating guides, reports, and knowledge articles).
Vendor & Strategy Awareness: Eagerness to learn about Transnational IT Supplier Management and Product/Service Planning by shadowing the Product Manager.
Interpersonal Attributes: Open-minded, self-aware, transparent, and highly receptive to constructive feedback.
Communication: Negotiation-level English is required; conversational skills in German or French are a strong asset.
Cross-Site Collaboration: Ability to adapt and thrive in a complex, multi-site international environment, collaborating across divisions including Donauwörth, Marignane, Paris, and Albacete.
Organization Structure
The position is open at Albacete.
You report to the Application Services Product Manager and from time to time to the Head of Personal Workplace.
Moreover, you will have other interactions with the following:
