Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and event driven architectures to support the design, implementation, and operation of a scalable enterprise event streaming platform.
You will build and manage GCP Pub/Sub infrastructure, support schema governance capabilities, and help deliver secure, reliable, and observable messaging services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, provision, and manage GCP Pub/Sub infrastructure.
* Implement security, monitoring, and operational best practices.
* Deliver and maintain schema registry capabilities and data contract governance.
* Build scalable, auditable, and replayable event driven messaging solutions.
* Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and platform automation.
* Support observability, logging, alerting, and operational readiness.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to establish event streaming standards.
* Provide platform support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
* Maintain documentation, runbooks, and governance processes.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Hands on experience with GCP Pub/Sub.
* Experience with event driven or streaming architectures.
* Knowledge of schema registry and data contract management.
* Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
* Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
* Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools.
* Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with Kafka or other event streaming technologies.
* Knowledge of API and event governance practices.
* Experience operating shared enterprise platforms.
* Understanding of GCP security, IAM, networking, and compliance.
* Exposure to DevOps and SRE practices.
Compensation
Salary Range: €70,000 – €80,000 gross per year, depending on experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
