Overview
We’re looking for a Team Lead Master Data to take charge of our master data operations and drive excellence across the organization. The role coordinates, leads and supports a team of Master Data Specialists PA/OPS in the roll-out and run of a General Master Data Governance system to achieve evolution in Packaging and Operations data and process alignment at Brenntag EMEA. The implementation of standardized master data for Packages continuously improves the basis, enabling EMEA processes and reporting to support and optimize business operations. The Team Lead Master Data PA/OPS will set and maintain KPIs, be the data model owner and coordinate it from design to implementation, propose Data and Process improvements, support impact analysis and implementation. The position coordinates the team to secure service levels with permanent operational coverage during creation/change of package and material MD and continuous assurance and enhancement of the MD governance model and processes. The position reports into the EMEA Supply Chain of the Brenntag Essentials Business unit and can be located in any principal office in Europe.
In this position you will be part of a team responsible for the performance of Master Data Governance tasks for packaging standardization and operations contribution within the Brenntag EMEA region.

Responsibilities
- Assure the Service Level agreement with the business
- Coordinate the Master Data Specialists PA/OPS team with calendar planning and focused time
- Reporting, tracking and management of MD PA/OPS related KPIs
- Propose and drive improvements in the Data Model and related processes
- Interface and ownership for MD PA/OPS to internal departments and major digitalization programs (ERP and other systems deployments and integrations)
- Coordinate system development requests (DRIs)
- Ensure training and process documentation for Master Data PA/OPS
- Enforce EMEA standards and guidelines related to Packaging, Operations, HSE
- Validate, enhance and approve information in EMEA Master Data creation including change requests
- Enforce Brenntag standards during MDM processes and coordinate with local MDM colleagues at EMEA level
- Support EMEA Packaging and HSE owner with communication to regions; escalate material creation/change requests as needed
- Evaluate existing MDM processes and identify adaptation requirements with follow-up implementation
- Develop guidelines and principles for EMEA PA/OPS contribution work
Your Profile
- Technical educational background, with basic knowledge in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical packaging, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Master Data related roles
- Packaging and Operations Data Management knowledge
- Knowledge of HSE requirements in chemical industry (e.g., ADR, RID, IMDG; food contact regulations)
- Experience in Master Data creation and change in ERP environments
- Leadership, team and project management skills
- Strong analytical capabilities on abstract data models to derive business needs
- Strategic vision to translate business requirements into action plans
- Proficiency with Windows Office; SAP user
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus
- Understanding of the impact of Master Data on business processes
- Strong emphasis on standardization and governance
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-regional team
- Meticulous work style and strong attention to detail
- Strong awareness of quality and results
