Job Outline :
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and nurture business relationships with current and potential customers to increase bookings and billings. This involves effective communication, negotiation, opportunity identification, profitable quoting, and demonstrating the company's capabilities.
What the role involves :
* Qualify assigned accounts to assess potential and determine the appropriate sales channel, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
* Implement the company's mission statement and six pillars go-to-market strategy.
* Conduct at least six in-person account visits per week to present the company's value proposition and create opportunities for quoting or receiving bills of material.
* Maintain accurate customer profiles and activity records within CRM, including visit reports and technical opportunities, and follow up to increase part count.
* Identify and develop new accounts with support from self, line manager, technical, marketing, and corporate teams.
* Produce a weekly call plan following the defined corporate format.
* Identify design opportunities with the technical team to enable sales of designed products and business growth.
* Regularly review the quote dashboard to maximize potential while ensuring data integrity.
* Conduct block diagram reviews with relevant teams and suppliers as required.
Do you have :
* A proven sales track record within the electronics distribution industry, demonstrating consistent high sales and focused account management. A degree qualification is preferred.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Commercial awareness, high organization, self-motivation, and a results-oriented mindset.
* High accuracy, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the electronics distribution industry; supplier knowledge is advantageous.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
