As part of its continued growth in a niche and mission-critical market, the company is now seeking to appoint a Sales Director for Eastern Europe to strengthen its regional leadership and commercial presence.SUMMARY OF THE POSITIONReporting directly to the General Manager Eastern Europe, the Sales Director will play a key role in managing distributor relationships within a complex and evolving market. Based anywhere in Eastern Europe, the successful candidate will work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Legal leadership teams and enjoy strong internal visibility and influence.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSales & Commercial StrategyAchieve annual sales targets across the assigned territory and designated portfolio of existing or new clientsLead pricing negotiations to secure optimal deals in line with the company’s pricing policyMaintain a strong clinical and technical understanding of the product portfolio to support customer engagementMonitor business performance and proactively address gaps to ensure financial KPIs are consistently metDevelop and implement a strategic plan to grow sales and market shareEnsure deep understanding of local market dynamics, customer needs, and the competitive landscape in each key marketContribute to market intelligence, gathering insights on pricing trends, competitor activity, and market evolutionIdentify and convert opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling, both within the existing distributor network and with new prospectsBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with distributors and strategic partnersTrack partner activities and customer data to respond effectively to evolving needsEnsure contract quality, accuracy, and compliance in coordination with the Legal teamCollaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure product availability and timely deliveryRegulatory & Compliance SupportEnsure full compliance with internal and external regulatory requirementsAct as the regional contact for reporting pharmacovigilance matters and adverse product events, ensuring timely notification to the relevant authoritiesSupport regulatory and market access efforts, particularly around reimbursement, licensing, and compliance in priority markets such as Greece, Hungary, and CzechiaRepresent the company professionally in all internal and external stakeholder communications across the regionREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEMinimum 10 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry;
experience in Oncology is a strong advantageProven track record in managing distributor networks and delivering sustained sales growth across Eastern European marketsIn-depth understanding of healthcare systems, market access pathways, reimbursement systems, licensing, and regulatory frameworks, particularly in Greece, Hungary, and CzechiaDemonstrated strategic thinking and market development experience in complex, multi-country environmentsHigh level of commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to engage with C-suite stakeholdersFluent English is essential;
