Responsibilities / Tasks
1. Implementing automation solutions for international projects (2–8 per year)
2. Designing, programming, and commissioning PLC and SCADA systems in industrial environments
3. Taking end-to-end accountability for automation scope delivery, ensuring quality, timing, and budget compliance
4. Traveling internationally for commissioning activities (up to 45% of your time)
5. Ensuring compliance with customer specifications, GEA norms, and automation standards
6. Documenting engineering activities and developing functional analyses
7. Supervising electrical panel assembly and FAT
8. Conducting equipment IO tests and basic electrical measurements
9. Coordinating with external suppliers for material procurement
10. Promoting innovation and productivity improvements
11. Adhering to and evaluating safety during commissioning
12. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers when required
13. Sharing knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices across teams
14. Delivering regular progress reports and proactively managing project risks
15. Identifying and implementing innovation opportunities and new tools/products
16. Making operational decisions and delivering technical automation solutions
Your Profile / Qualifications
17. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or similar (Automation, Telecommunications, etc.); Master’s degree is a plus
18. Minimum 2+ years of proven experience implementing PLC and SCADA automation solutions in industrial environments
19. Mechanical & electrical engineering know-how
20. Expertise in electricity, automation, control systems, and pneumatics
21. Advanced PLC programming (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell) and HMI programming (Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware, Rockwell Factory Talk, Ignition)
22. Knowledge on industrial communication protocols and system architectures
23. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, engineering tools, connectivity platforms)
24. Spanish (native) and high level of English (B2/C1); French, German, Portuguese highly valued
25. Strong written and oral communication skills
26. Hygienic design know-how and QHSE standards (especially IAA)
27. Familiarity with S88, S95, S101 norms
28. Ethics, compliance, and professionalism
29. Problem-solving mindset and ability to work autonomously
30. Cross-functional and multidisciplinary teamwork approach
31. Willingness to travel internationally
