Role Purpose Statement
Reporting to the Bunge S.A. controller, this job incumbent performs controlling, compliance function and provides support to the controlling team. The function requires knowledge of general accounting methods, principles and practices (both US GAAP and Swiss Accounting principles).
Main Accountabilities
* Control monthly financial statements and quarterly reporting packages for Bunge Global Market entities, ensuring the accuracy of the USGAAP reporting for consolidation purposes.
* Develop and maintain systems and tools in the financial control area, in liaison with the SAP team and OS consolidation control.
* Work with middle‑office and back‑office teams to ensure that business needs for trading control are appropriately factored into SAP (i.e. MTM results, brokers reconciliations, FX management).
* Coordinate with Finance Partners the forecasts and business plan for the entities.
* Responsible for the preparation of annual Swiss Statutory Financial Statements and manage relation with external auditors.
* Contribute to the integrity of Bunge S.A. financials on a quarterly and annual basis and file the same with local tax and regulatory authorities.
* Support HQ Controller and Tax Team on specific projects with ad‑hoc analysis (i.e. investments valuation, Transfer Pricing documentation).
* Manage fixed assets register, including CWIP analysis, additions and deletions.
* Perform monthly intercompany reviews, manage budget allocations and SGA for Bunge S.A.
* Support any activities coming into Bunge S.A. as part of the growing Geneva Commercial and IP hub.
* Provide management oversight for general accounting area/function and partner with Finance Transformation for the implementation and deployment of financial, reporting and planning digital tools.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* University degree in accounting, finance or related field level with economic focus or equivalent experience.
* 10+ years’ experience in a middle to large accounting department in a multi‑business/multinational.
* Experience interfacing with all levels of the organization including senior and executive level management.
* Good knowledge of accounting standards: US GAAP and Swiss law.
* SAP FICO – proficiency in advanced Excel, BI/BW tools.
* English is a must; other languages would be beneficial.
* Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
