What’s the Job?
As a Marketing Trainee, you’ll be part of the team responsible for bringing the InterContinental Barcelona brand to life. From creating engaging content and supporting marketing campaigns to managing social media and promoting exciting new hotel experiences, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to all areas of hotel marketing. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and the wider team, you’ll contribute to projects that enhance both the guest and colleague experience while developing valuable skills in luxury hospitality marketing.
Your day-to-day
- Support the Marketing Manager with daily reports, appointments and administrative tasks.
- Assist with website management and content updates to ensure information remains accurate and engaging.
- Create marketing materials, including flyers, presentations and internal communication pieces.
- Support Food & Beverage marketing initiatives, including the launch of new concepts, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
- Help manage and create content for social media channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TripAdvisor.
- Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Monitor social media performance and stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with different hotel departments to promote key initiatives and experiences.
- Provide general support across all marketing activities and projects.
- Be ready to learn, contribute ideas and gain valuable experience in a dynamic luxury hotel environment.
What We Need From You
- A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for hospitality.
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Tourism, Business, Marketing or similar.
- Strong communication skills and team mindset.
- Basic knowledge of reservations or revenue management is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- EU passport or valid work permit to work in Spain.
