Our team, as part of the continued growth of our business, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer capable of leading and developing teams to complete both small and large projects. These projects span a diverse range of construction sectors including among others, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Aviation, Commercial and Defense.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading technically, designing custom solutions, mentoring mid-level and junior staff, and developing calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications for the electrical design work on exciting and complex projects.
Responsibilities
In the role, you will be expected to:
Complete Electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes
Make major design recommendations and design decisions with little input from senior staff
Plan design work, calculates costs, and time schedules to assign design duties to junior staff working on projects.
Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project files.
Act as an adviser and review correspondence prepared by junior project team members.
Attend project meetings, or when appropriate, delegate activities.
Meet with clients, prepare proposals and presentations while maintaining good client relations.
Assist in project checking for quality control on other projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or industrial engineering with Electrical Emphasis Engineering from an accredited program.
At least 8-10 years of experience in a similar role or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
Good knowledge in international regulations and standards (NFPA, BS, IEC, etc).
Proficiency in engineering calculation software for electrical discipline (CANECO, ETAP, etc).
Experience in the design and calculation of medium and low voltage (MV/LV) electrical installations in all types of buildings (tertiary sector, hospitals, airports, etc.) and infrastructures. Experience in construction works and other types of systems such as CCTV, fire detection, security, and access control will also be valued.
