Role Overview
The ideal candidate is a highly accomplished and results-driven Senior Technical Program Manager who leads a portfolio of mission-critical software initiatives across the organization. This role owns execution strategy, operational excellence, and organizational alignment for complex, cross-functional programs with material business impact.
The role requires a strategic mindset, strong tenacity, and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to drive execution in ambiguous environments, influence senior stakeholders without formal authority, and institutionalize world-class software delivery practices across a large, distributed organization.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Program Leadership
o Drive the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for a portfolio of complex, multi-year programs
o Ensure alignment with company-level strategic priorities and clearly demonstrate business impact
o Apply strategic thinking to balance near-term execution demands with long-term technical and organizational objectives
* Portfolio Management & Execution
o Directly lead and manage multiple high-visibility programs from concept through deployment
o Define program scope, facilitate build-versus-buy analyses, and develop comprehensive business cases, charters, and execution plans
o Track progress rigorously across initiatives, ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely escalation of issues
* Operational Excellence & Process Ownership
o Champion and institutionalize best-in-class delivery and execution practices across development teams
o Own and continuously improve processes, tools, metrics, and communication mechanisms
o Leverage data, KPIs, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement and predictable delivery
* Executive Alignment & Communication
o Partner closely with Directors, Senior Staff, and executive leadership across Engineering, Product, and Business teams
o Align roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, negotiate technical and delivery trade-offs, and facilitate critical decision-making
o Provide concise, high-quality reporting on program health, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to senior stakeholders and governance forums
* Risk & Dependency Management
o Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate complex cross-program risks and dependencies spanning multiple teams and organizations
o Demonstrate tenacity in driving resolution of long-standing, ambiguous, or structurally complex challenges
o Clearly communicate impacts and proposed resolution paths to all relevant stakeholders
* Performance Tracking
Experience
* 7–10+ years of progressive experience in Technical Program Management within a large-scale, enterprise software environment
* Proven ability to lead multi-year, high-impact programs across multiple organizational boundaries
* Deep understanding of modern software architecture, cloud platforms, and the complexities of building and operating global, highly available systems
* Strong grounding in software development principles and the full SDLC
* Demonstrated strategic mindset with the ability to translate broad business and technical objectives into executable program plans
* High emotional intelligence, with strong interpersonal awareness and the ability to influence, negotiate, and build alignment at senior levels
* Persistence, resilience, and accountability in driving outcomes across complex organizational landscapes
* Proven success implementing, scaling, and optimizing agile delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) at team and organizational levels
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
