**Your new position**
Lead Europe's key research partnerships.
Support the strategic planning and decision making of the company at the Europe level, ensuring that Europe's research direction is aligned with the university's strategy and objectives.
Develop and foster relationships with local research ecosystems in the Catalonia region and lead the management of the relationship with our strategic partner Eurecat.
Develop partnerships with funding bodies across Europe to ensure that the company is in an advantageous position to respond to funding calls.
Lead and manage the Research and Innovation team.
Support DP operations to initiate the implementation of awarded research projects.
Identify and develop opportunities for the company to participate as a partner in major funding opportunities across Europe.
**What you’ll need**
Postgraduate qualification and/or significant relevant experience. Well-developed European network across one or more areas of priority (Sustainable Built Environment, Digital Manufacturing, Natural Resources and the Environment and Resilience).
**Excellent written and spoken English**.

Proven leadership skills including the capacity to lead and grow business activities in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Extensive experience in leading and developing research collaborations and partnerships in complex environments.
Proven experience in pursuing and converting business development opportunities into impact for the organisation.
Proven financial management, project management and business development skills.
Demonstrated high level problem solving and analytical skills.
Subject matter expertise and existing networks across Europe in one or more of the research priority areas of the company in Europe.
