Position Summary
The National Sales Manager is a field-based position leading the Spanish sales team of Key Account Managers in Madrid.
Overall Responsibility
Sales performance, strategic implementation and operational management of all sales activities
The successful achievement of sales targets, management of related activities in sales, and collaboration with all other relevant stakeholders and support functions
Ensure appropriate market position of the Amicus product portfolio
Building and maintaining relationships with national Key Opinion Leaders, payors and relevant stakeholders
Regional and hospital market access, mainly with Hospital Pharmacists
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop the Sales field team including: recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, SFE, CRM, monitoring and optimization of Sales excellence, implementation of Spanish Sales strategy, development of territory strategy/tactics in accordance with Amicus strategy, ensuring that all communication channels are used by Salesforce.
Successful achievement of Sales targets.
Ensure operational effectiveness of Sales team (CRM, customer engagement, key account plans) – conducting regular reviews.
Support market access on key accounts.
Continuous tracking and analysis of national and regional Sales development, market share and competitor performance.
Planning, tracking and controlling of national and territory Sales budgets/forecasts.
Monitor and plan Sales projects and regional events.
Responsible for developing the incentive plan for KAM territories and align with CD.
Ensure a high level of product, therapeutic area and competitor knowledge of the Sales team.
Organize regional and national Sales team meetings.
Present Sales performance at national meetings.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
Degree qualified in Healthcare/Life Sciences (or equivalent)
Must achieve and maintain defined industry educational and qualification requirements within the country of employment in order to be able to perform their role
Professional Work Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience and a track record of success in a Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology sales position
Solid experience in working with rare diseases or specialty care products and demonstrates a good understanding of the science behind the product
Experience in leading senior Sales teams
Experience in leading Market Access activities at regional and hospital level
Experience and Skills
Comprehensive understanding of the local rules and regulations of the pharma market in the country of responsibility
Proven ability to think strategically and have demonstrated focus on delivering action and programs
Hands‐on mentality, autonomous working style, self‐starter
Understands the requirements, and demonstrates the capability, of working in a start‐up environment where the individual's input has a meaningful impact

Travel
