Position Overview
Museum of Senses is seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Specialist responsible for managing and growing the digital presence of the Madrid location.
The role focuses on content creation, community engagement, and influencer collaborations, ensuring the Museum maintains a dynamic and engaging online presence across social profiles that drive awareness, visitor engagement, and ticket sales.
The Social Media Specialist will work closely with the Brand and Marketing Manager, Group Online Director, and marketing teams across other Museum of Senses markets to ensure brand consistency and to share best practices across locations.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
* Create engaging social media content for the Madrid location including posts, reels, stories, and short-form video
* Coordinate and manage outsourced content creators such as photographers, videographers, and designers
* Ensure all content aligns with the Museum of Senses brand identity and global guidelines, while staying on top of regional and global SM trends to attain higher reach and virality
* Work with a digital marketing team to identify and develop content boosting strategy.
Social Media Management
* Manage daily activity across key social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and emerging channels)
* Plan and execute content calendars and posting schedules
* Monitor engagement and optimize content performance based on analytics
* Taking a data-driven approach to performance tracking, strategy evaluation and budget management.
Community Engagement
* Manage community interaction, including comments, direct messages, and user-generated content
* Foster an engaged online community and maintain a positive brand voice
* Monitor social sentiment and provide insights to the marketing team
Influencer & Creator Outreach
* Identify and reach out to local influencers and content creators aligned with the Museum’s audience
* Coordinate influencer visits, collaborations, and partnerships
* Ownership of the tracking and evaluation of influencer campaign performance
Local Market Adaptation
* Provide local content translation and adaptation for the Spanish market
* Identify local opportunities, partnerships, and trends that can strengthen the Museum’s visibility in Madrid
* Ensure global campaigns are effectively localized
Blog & Content Development
* Create blog articles and editorial content that support SEO visibility and storytelling around the Museum experience
* Contribute to broader content marketing initiatives across digital channels.
Collaboration with Group Marketing
* Work closely with the Brand and Marketing Manager and Group Online Director to implement social media strategies
* Cooperate with other Museum of Senses markets to exchange ideas, successful formats, and campaign insights
* Support global marketing initiatives and campaigns when required.
Qualifications
* 2 - 4 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation
* Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and short-form video content trends
* Strong static and video content editing for the purpose of Social Media - Canva proficiency is a plus
* Experience working with influencers and digital creators
* Ability to work with content performance data & adjust content based on results
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills
* Native Spanish language speaker with high level of English language knowledge
