The Senior Data Analysts will be part of the Data Rebels team in Leroy Merlin Spain, reporting to the Analytics & Insights Manager. Their mission will be to deliver actionable and impactful insights to any area of the company and solve business questions with data.
The Senior Data Analysts will use both analytical and communication skills to transmit their passion for data to the rest of the company. Therefore, we are looking for proactive and practical team players with excellent interpersonal skills, willing to share the challenge of becoming Leroy Merlin in one of the more advanced companies in Spain regarding data to provide best-in-class data products to our business.
Some of the key aspects to develop by the Senior Data Analysts will be:
- Alignment with the new data strategy.
- Collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders to help LME’s teams to make the right business decisions and continuously improve their processes and take an innovative approach.
- Deep-dive data analysis for business insights and recommendations.
- Generation of dashboards and reports. Storytelling.
- Proactive proposals of use cases that generate value to our businesses.
- Exploitation of big data and relational databases:
- Inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data
- Analysis of complex data from multiple sources. In depth analysis.
- Analysis and definition of KPIs to identify business opportunities and achieve OKRs.
- Creation of “make it happen” visualizations focused on practical insights and actionable measures.
- Delivery and improvement of visualization, data transformation and modeling and reporting.
- Development of ETLs and processes.
**“MUST HAVE” Requirements**:
- 5+ years experience as data analyst or similar roles (Projects, BI, Visualization, Reporting ).
- Experience working with Cloud Data Warehouses/Datalakes.
- Business oriented mindset. Advanced business acumen.
- Experience working directly with business users to build reports, dashboards and solving business questions with data.
- SQL advanced skills (Big Query).
- Advanced data visualization skills (Data Studio).
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Google sheets.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and/or Google Presentations.
- Ability to lead projects and work independently once given a direction.
- Fluent in English.

- Experience in using Agile methodologies
- Experience with data projects in GCP in retail and/or logistics multinational environments.
