Responsibilities
Administrator of Communications – Level 2.5 (Team Lead). Infrastructure and virtualization: Huawei – administration of Huawei switches and routers (VRP). Private cloud solutions (FusionSphere, eSight). SDN and NFV network configuration. Integration with monitoring and orchestration platforms.
Network security: Checkpoint, Fortinet, F5, A10 Networks – firewall administration (rules, policies, NAT, VPNs). Threat management (IPS/IDS, antivirus, web filtering). Load balancer configuration (F5, A10). High availability implementation. Log analysis and incident response. Signature and patch updates.
Networks and switching: Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Pluribus – configuration of switches and routers (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS). Layer 2 and layer 3 network management. QoS and traffic policy implementation. Network diagnostics and troubleshooting. Automation tasks with scripts (Python, Ansible, etc.). Network monitoring with SNMP, NetFlow, sFlow.
Infrastructure Management and Consoles: Avocent (KVM/IPMI), Infoblox – remote server and device management (KVM, IPMI). DNS, DHCP and IPAM with Infoblox. Active Directory integration and other authentication platforms. Infrastructure audit and access control.
General capabilities:
Specialized Technical Support for Critical Communications – support for critical infrastructure in Edge/Telecom Cloud environments, including SDN, firewalls, load balancers, other communications technologies, worldwide support.
High-Level Equipment and Service Coverage – cross‑functional support for network elements. 24/7 availability for incident escalations. Participation in hardware and software migrations, backup audits, configuration and redundancy reviews, optimization proposals and service improvement plans, risk identification.
Nightly Interventions – preparation and execution of nighttime work. Full change‑process management (planning, CAB defense, execution). Monthly report of nighttime activity.
Proactive and Preventive Support – preventive services during business hours. Active participation in Change and Problem Management processes: from opening to closure, including audits. Continuous improvement in processes. Compliance with defined KPI and SLA.
Critical Incident Management (Severity≥3) – technical support and severity management. Escalation engineer or shift lead participation. Technical coordination of the team. Participation in audit, reports, action plans.
Required certifications: Checkpoint, F5, A10, Fortinet, Nokia, Huawei, Juniper, Infoblox, Cisco. More than 5 years of professional experience in physical, electrical and connectivity infrastructures (fiber and copper).
