Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is Santander's global division that supports some of the world's most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customized services and value-added wholesale products to meet their needs.
Difference You Make
Private Debt Mobilisation (PDM) is the department of Banco Santander Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) responsible for distributing to investors all private credit risk assets of CIB. This includes underwriting transactions, managing underwriting risk, and syndicating, distributing, and hedging those transactions. This role is an Executive Director level position in the PDM Trade & Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) team, focused on PDM activity for TWCS transactions.
Role Focus
The successful candidate will focus on Structured Trade, including Prepayment Financing, Pre-Export Financing, Inventory Financing, Borrowing Base Financing, Reserve Based Lending, and related areas. Responsibilities include end-to-end transaction execution—from initial discussions with origination or corporate clients, through structuring and documentation, defining and executing an underwriting and syndication strategy, to final investor sales. For larger or more complex transactions, the candidate will work with other PDM team members to ensure best execution.
Additionally, the candidate will support the Global Head of PDM TWCS with cross-product projects within the trade asset class but outside of structured trade. This may include structured and portfolio solutions, new investor bases, and new origination areas. This portion requires lateral thinking, liaising with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
