Senior Sales Applications Engineer for Sensing Solutions - South Europe
We are seeking a Senior Sales Applications Engineer for our Honeywell Sensing Solutions (HSS) team in Spain to support the South European markets. As a Senior Sales Applications Engineer with HSS, you will be responsible for creating multiple business opportunities by identifying new applications while keeping the existing product and technology at its core. This includes building a robust product pipeline in collaboration with external customers, Product Managers, and Engineering teams in Industrial Automation.
Key duties include liaising with stakeholders, building the NPI pipeline, prioritizing projects with the biggest business impact, and ensuring a healthy project delivery with maximum ROI. This involves extensive coordination with cross‑functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, and vendors for rapid prototypes, and focusing on the entire process from ideation to NPI conversion and technical delivery.
The portfolio to support consists of custom‑engineered sensors, switches, machine safeguarding and other devices providing enhanced precision, repeatability, and durability to OEMs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to customers and regional sales teams.
* Collaborate with product management, engineering, and customers to gather, prioritize, and refine product and customer requirements.
* Define the product vision and align technical objectives with overall product strategy and customer needs.
* Identify potential risks in all projects and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project completion.
* Monitor and achieve organizational metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer feedback to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Skills & Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, etc.)
* At least 5 years of Account Management and/or Applications Engineer experience in B2B technical sales in a manufacturing/OEM environment with high‑added‑value solutions. Sensing Solutions experience is a plus.
* Ability to manage and deliver desired results in a timely and turnaround‑time‑driven environment.
* Strong customer focus and the ability to establish a trusted advisor relationship.
* Native Spanish speaker; proficiency in English and French.
* Willingness to travel up to 30% across South European countries for client visits related to projects.
