Procurement Transformation Specialist / Business Analyst (Cloud Solutions)

Join a leading international client on a minimum 3-6 month contract + long extensions (the manager has already confirmed the role could run for at least 3 years +).
Remote working role – must be EU based.
This role bridges procurement operations, technology, and business strategy. The successful candidate will lead the evaluation and implementation of next-generation cloud procurement solutions, helping the business move away from existing on-premise tools (e.g., SAP Ariba) toward modern, agile cloud-based systems.
Main Purpose
• Lead vendor assessments and proof-of-concept pilots for cloud procurement providers.
• Define and formalize functional and technical requirements with key business stakeholders.
• Evaluate cloud solution capabilities (usability, integration, scalability, security, and total cost of ownership).
• Partner with IT, procurement, and finance teams to ensure alignment between business needs and solution capabilities.
• Support strategic decision-making on vendor selection, POC results, and business case development.
Key Accountabilities
• Vendor Evaluation: Conduct market research and structured evaluations of cloud procurement platforms.
• POC/Pilot Management: Lead proof-of-concept or pilot projects, coordinating technical teams and stakeholders to test solutions.
• Business Requirements: Facilitate workshops to capture, validate, and document business requirements.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the key liaison between business, IT, and vendor teams.
• Data & Process Analysis: Map and analyze existing procurement processes to identify improvement areas.
• Solution Assessment: Evaluate usability, performance, integration, and compliance aspects of shortlisted platforms.
• Reporting: Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to senior stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and sourcing workflows.
• Experience assessing or implementing cloud-based procurement solutions (Coupa, Ivalua, Jaggaer, etc.).
• Ability to translate business needs into system and process requirements.
• Proven capability managing technology evaluation or transformation projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset — ability to evaluate data objectively and produce actionable recommendations.
• Strong business acumen; able to challenge vendors and internal stakeholders constructively.
Nice to Have
• Background in procurement consulting, business analysis, or technology advisory.
• Familiarity with sustainability, supplier risk, or ESG procurement considerations.
• Exposure to SAP or Ariba is a plus but not required.
