The role includes teaching IGCSE and A Level English Literature, as well as IELTS preparation for Year 12 pupils.
An honours degree, ideally a minimum 2:1, from a British university in English or a closely related subject
* A PGCE/QTS or recognised equivalent teaching qualification
* Previous experience teaching IGCSE and A Level English Literature
* Previous experience teaching IELTS
* Recent teaching experience within the UK preferred
* Experience within the independent sector or an international school environment desirable
* Native level English proficiency
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities through engaging teaching strategies
* Collaborative approach to planning, curriculum delivery and resource development
* Confident use of ICT to support teaching and learning
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to contributing to department and school success
* Willingness to play an active role in the wider school community and co curricular activities
