ASSISTANT MANAGER – PETERBROOKE CHOCOLATIER (PONTE VEDRA, FL) Position Summary The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining Peterbrooke Chocolatier's high standards for quality and guest experience. This role helps supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure smooth store operations while creating a welcoming environment for customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES STORE OPERATIONS Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Monitor cash handling, register accuracy, and daily deposits.
Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Support the execution of seasonal displays and promotions. CUSTOMER SERVICE Provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge.
Assist customers with gift selections, special orders, and event purchases.
Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Promote customer loyalty through personalized service. TEAM LEADERSHIP Assist with employee training and onboarding.
Supervise staff during assigned shifts.
Help create and maintain employee schedules.
Provide coaching and support to team members.
Foster a positive and productive work environment. SALES & MARKETING Support efforts to achieve sales goals and store performance targets.
Promote holiday, corporate gifting, and special event sales.
Assist with local marketing initiatives and community outreach.
Upsell products and encourage add-on sales opportunities. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering products and supplies.
Receive and organize shipments.
Conduct inventory counts and help reduce product loss.
Ensure proper storage and handling of chocolate products.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of retail, customer service, food service, or hospitality experience.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work adaptable hours, including weekends and holidays.
Basic computer and point-of-sale system proficiency. PREFERRED Experience in specialty retail, confectionery, bakery, or gift store environments.
Knowledge of inventory control and merchandising practices.
