Postdoctoral Position – Mechanisms and Functions of Synaptic Plasticity
Position Summary: The Laboratory of Cellular Neuroscience and Plasticity, Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Cell Biology, University Pablo de Olavide, Seville, Spain, is seeking a Post‑Doctoral Candidate for a 3‑year Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral contract financed by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct research on mechanisms of synaptic plasticity (spike timing‑dependent plasticity) in the hippocampus and cortex, and study critical periods and plasticity windows during development.
* Perform experiments using brain slices and in vivo approaches with electrophysiological techniques (patch‑clamp) and imaging (multiphoton).
* Analyze data, prepare figures, and draft manuscripts for publication.
* Collaborate with group members and present findings at conferences.
Qualifications
* PhD in Neuroscience or a related field obtained between 1 January **** and 31 December ****.
* Previous experience in electrophysiology and imaging is desired.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
