Summary
The Central Material Planning Analyst drives continuous improvement in MRP processes within Lear's Electronics Plants. This role monitors and audits the MRP processes of Lear's Electronics plants, aiming to improve, centralize, and standardize Lear's MRP processes globally to enhance efficiency by aligning supply with demand and reducing costs associated with plant downtime, premium freight, and excess inventory.
As a newly formed team with high visibility, this position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to develop metrics and lead novel initiatives. The Analyst regularly interacts with Lear leadership to communicate progress on team initiatives.
Key Tasks
Monitor global plant coordinators' adherence to MRP processes
Identify gaps in existing processes
Develop, document, and train plant coordinators on optimized processes
Serve as the MRP expert, providing guidance and training as needed to plant coordinators
Monitor global RM inventory trends to proactively address excess or short material
Analyze supplier schedules before and after each MRP run
Address coverage gaps with plant coordinators and collaborate with suppliers to resolve them
Act as MRP parameter owner
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience
Expertise in MRP (QAD experience would be a plus)
Experience with analyzing, creating, and documenting processes
