Following the strategic objectives set by the Group CFO and the Steering Committee, the key functions of the COST CONTROLLING role will be:Monitor all costs, including raw material, labor, supplies, and infrastructure, and analyze financial data to identify variances from the budget.
Manage all aspects of cost accounting, including calculating unit costs, analysing material and manpower consumption, and correcting issues with bills of materials.
Contribute to the improvement and the design of the standard cost tracking system and lead the full implementation and input data collection throughout the organization.
Develop and implement strategies to minimize expenditure and maximize profitability, via tracking expenses, identifying cost variances and recommending cost-saving measures.
Monitor performance and profitability of the manufacturing process in the different manufacturing sites and business lines, carrying out numbers benchmarking and sharing best practices throughout the Group.
Work with operations management to analyze manufacturing processes, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and enhance overall plants profitability.
Identify potential financial and operations risks and implement controls to prevent cost overruns.
Work closely with manufacturing managers, project managers, procurement teams, and other cross-functional teams to get the set goals.
Support the financial department with the month-end financial closing throughout the Group, reviewing all entities' financial statements to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, including KPIs, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
Coordinate and carry out ad-hoc actions and impacts to address any profitability leakage vectors following the Steering Committee guidelines.
Key driver for the development of state-of-the-art reporting technologies for the Group, leading the implementation of reporting dashboards and managing business information databases within our ERP.
Business partner in the Finance department to manage, monitor, and analyze manufacturing operation's expenditures to ensure projects and production stay within budget.
Required education and skills:
University Degree, preferably in a Technical Degree or Economics or Business Administration.
At least 3-5 years within Finance, preferably in manufacturing companies with relevant work experience in plant/cost controlling or financial controlling in a manufacturing business or audit.
Strong knowledge of accounting, financial analysis, and cost management principles. Strong manufacturing understanding and financial mindset with a very structured approach.
Able to communicate at all levels of the organization, good team-player, with sound cross functional, negotiation and organizational skills, being able to influence to different stakeholders.
Resilient, being able to pursue objectives, to follow up cross-departmental interests and to ensure goals and deadlines.
Integrity, loyalty and commitment to compliance.
Be an expert in excel. Very desirable business intelligence and database skills.
Fluency in English and Spanish is a must.
