About the role
Weare seeking ahighly experienced and strategic Sales/Business Development Manager todrive the growth and adoption ofour software products, with astrong focus onthe insurance domain, across theUK and European markets. The ideal candidate has deep expertise inworking with banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions, along with astrong background inproduct-led and solution-based sales (SaaS/ licensed software).
This role requires astrategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, and aneasy-going, relationship-driven personality, with areadiness totravel extensively tomeet clients, prospects, and partners.
Responsibilities
Product Growth Strategy
Design and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for promoting and scaling software products in the insurance domain across theUK and Europe. Define target customer segments, value propositions, and go-to-market approaches.
Market &Customer Research
Analyze market trends, competitors, and regulatory environments within the insurance sector. Identify customer pain points and translate them into clear product positioning and sales opportunities.
Client Engagement &Travel
Represent the company at insurance-focused industry events, conferences, and partner meetings across theUK and Europe. Conduct on-site and remote meetings to nurture relationships with prospects, clients, and strategic partners.
Commercial Proposals &Pricing
Prepare and present compelling commercial proposals, including licensing, subscription, or usage-based pricing models. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor product offerings to client needs while maintaining scalability.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Delivery teams to align customer feedback with the product roadmap and go-to-market strategy. Navigate diverse personalities and cultural contexts, applying strong communication and psychological insight.
Requirements
10+years of experience in business development or enterprise sales within the financial services sector, working with banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions.
Proven experience selling software products, SaaS, or platform solutions in B2B environments.
Demonstrable experience in selling software development or integration services under a T&A engagement model.
Strong understanding of product-based sales models (subscription, licensing, enterprise agreements).
Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills with a consistent record of revenue growth.
Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to define and execute go-to-market strategies.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, hands-on, and innovative approach to business development.
Easy-going, adaptable personality with a genuine interest in frequent travel and relationship building.
