With a strong presence in Africa, Latin America, and Asia, the firm is recognized for its rigorous methodology, high-quality deliverables, and its ability to operate in complex environments and multicultural contexts.POSITIONWe are seeking a Senior Social & Environmental Consultant acting as a key technical resource and right-hand support to the E&S Director.This role requires a highly autonomous professional with strong expertise in developing, reviewing, and writing Environmental & Social (E&S) documentation in alignment with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank Group EHS Guidelines, and the Equator Principles.The ideal candidate will bring strong social performance expertise, complemented by solid environmental knowledge. Experience working across multiple project typologies—such as hospitals, airports, correctional facilities, electrification projects, railways, and other large infrastructure developments—is a strong advantage.This is a strategic and growth-oriented role, offering the opportunity to develop into a future leadership position within the department.This person will report to the Environmental & Social Director.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Lead the preparation, writing, and review of Environmental & Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), Environmental & Social Due Diligence (ESDD) reports, and E&S Management Plans following IFC and Equator Principles frameworks.- Conduct social risk assessments, stakeholder engagement plans, grievance mechanisms, and other social performance deliverables with a strong focus on community relations and social safeguards.- Support the E&S Director in the supervision, coordination, and quality assurance of all E&S deliverables across projects in West Africa.- Provide technical input and ensure compliance with IFC PS, EHS Guidelines, Equator Principles, and local regulatory requirements.- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, including clients, lenders, government entities, and local consultants.- Manage field missions, data collection, stakeholder consultations, and monitoring activities when required.- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and supporting the expansion of E&S services in West Africa.- Act as a senior technical reference within the E&S team, providing mentorship and supporting junior team members.REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Sustainability, International Development, or related fields.- Minimum of 5 of experience in Environmental & Social consulting, with proven experience preparing IFC-compliant and Equator Principles–aligned documentation.- Strong social expertise (community engagement, social baseline studies, resettlement frameworks, vulnerable groups, livelihood restoration, etc.), with a solid understanding of environmental components.- Demonstrated experience across multiple infrastructure project typologies (e.G., hospitals, airports, energy, transport, railways, social infrastructure).- Experience working on projects in Africa, ideally West Africa, strongly preferred.- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and act as a strategic partner to the E&S Director.- Willingness to travel to project locations in West Africa as need- Languages: Native Spanish and advanced English (mandatory). French is a big plus.
