GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Legal Associate will be part of the Ocean Winds Headquarters Legal Team, providing broad legal support across the business.

The role involves close interaction with Business Development (including M& A, bid structuring, origination and partnerships), as well as Finance, Procurement, IT, BPE, People and Innovation teams.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES The Legal Associate will be responsible for, among others: Providing legal support to HQ teams on a regular basis and to country/project level from time to time, including, among others, to BD (including, M& A, bid structuring, origination and partnerships);
Finance;
Procurement;
IT;
Business Process Excellence and Communications;
People/HR;
and Innovation team at OW headquarters.
General legal support across the organisation, including commercial agreements and corporate governance matters, as requiredc.
Identifying and proactively managing legal risks, proposing practical and commercially sound solutions.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex transactional and project documentation.
Analysing and advising on complex legal issues arising across the business.
Managing claims and contentious matters, where relevant.
Coordinating and efficiently managing external counsel, with a strong focus on quality, responsiveness and cost control.
Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and sharing knowledge and best practices within the organisation, including internal training where appropriate.
Ensuring compliance with Ocean Winds' internal policies and applicable laws, and fostering a strong culture of ethics and compliance supporting OW Compliance Team.
Contributing to continuous improvement of legal processes, operational efficiency and decision‐making at HQ level.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND Law Degree from a reputable university.
Master's degree or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
LANGUAGES Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
At least one additional language required.
Any other language is a plus.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally with exposure to M& A and/or Project Development and/or Project Finance.
Exposure to EPC contracts is a plus.
Previous experience in a top‐tier international law firm or a strong in‐house legal department is highly valued.
Experience in renewable energy projects is required;
exposure to offshore wind projects is a strong plus.
Willingness to work across multiple areas of business law, beyond a single specialisation.
KNOWLEDGE Ability to provide pragmatic, business‐oriented legal advice in complex and evolving projects.
Experience managing external counsel across different jurisdictions.
