PbPrinciple Responsibilities/Position Purpose: /b /ppbr/ppEffectively develop and consistently carry out sales strategies for own market to reach personal booking goals and hotel overall financial objectives. Also support the sales team’s overall objectives and contribute to the success of Nobu Hotel Barcelona’s positioning within the competitive set of Barcelona. /ppMaintain and exceedNobu Standards to maximize profitsand ensure outstanding guest service. /ppbr/ppbESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS /b /ppbr/pullibEffectively, professional, and positively respond /bto incoming RFP’sin less than /li /ulp24 hrs. (alternative email/call) to close all potential business while adhering to Nobu Hotel Barcelona sales standards prioritizing our partners or red flag periods (ALHI, CVENT, HB etc…) /pullibFollow up on leadsby qualifying the customer’s needs /band datesfor the event to determine if the business is a good fit for the property, when required. /lilibTake the lead on rate negotiations /band making sure we maximize our market share in events supported by Revenue Director/ Commercial Director /liliPlan andbconduct site inspections /bwith existing and prospective clients. /liliEffectively bprospect new accounts /bforeach assigned segments to increase leads and grow client database. /liliGather, share, and buse markettrends and competitive set data /bknowledge to /li /ulpcontribute to team’s revenue strategies. /pulliEffectively buse Sales Force/Delphi /bwhile using existing sales standards to document all sales activities and bgrow Nobu HotelBarcelona database working closely with marketing department. /b /liliDevelop and implement bown salesaction plans /bforeach assigned segmentto /li /ulpachieve personal and team financial goals (include KSO’s)bincluding FAM TRIPS /b /pulliOrganize and bconduct sales visits to assigned market(s) /bwith qualified bpre-trip /b /li /ulpagendas and detailed bpost trip reports. /b /pulliEffectively and positively keepsthe budget of the annualSales Trip in an accurate manner each month. /liliAssist to provide relevant reporting of management and financial information for the sales department including bmonth end report /b, bGM Flash /b, bWeekly Sales Actions /betc… /lilibMaintain master reports such as OTBS, Detailed report /b bFB Forecast /bdaily updated. /lilibAttend meetings /bas assigned – Groups meeting etc. /liliConsistently bmaintains Nobu Hotel Barcelona’s team informed on upcoming groups, eventsor VIP clients /bin a professional and concise mannerto anticipate guests needs and create guest loyalty /li /ulpbr/ppbSUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS /b /ppbr/ppIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company. /ppbr/pulliContribute to the development of the annual business/marketing plan /liliPlan and manage sales and marketing resources according to agree upon budgets (particularly for travel and hosted events or general entertainment) /liliAttend mandatory meetings and contribute to these meetings in a professionally effective manner; regularly communicate with all team members. /liliParticipate in Manager on Duty programs, which may require occasional overnight duty. /liliParticipate in community public relations for the hotel. /liliComplete other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales or General Manager /liliDemonstrate positive leadership characteristics and act as a role model for staff members. /liliRegularly research and remain current with Sales and Marketing trends. /liliMaintain and develop corporate image and reputation /liliKeep office clean and organized. /li /ulpbr/ppbQUALIFICATION STANDARDS /b /ppbr/pulliBachelors degree in hospitality or business preferred. /liliMinimum of 4 years’ experience in sales within the hospitality industry (1 year as a manager) /liliExcellent spoken and written communications skills in Spanish and English, Catalan is a plus, but not required /liliMust have good understanding of group, corporate and leisure markets and previous work experience in the Barcelona market /liliExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.
