About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated In-House Legal Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating international commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and providing strategic legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
This role requires an individual who can work across multiple jurisdictions, analyzing and applying different regulatory frameworks depending on the company's needs. The candidate must be comfortable reviewing and interpreting legal and regulatory requirements in diverse markets where the company operates.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently review, draft, and negotiate a variety of international commercial agreements in English (common law).
* Collaborate with internal business teams to ensure legal documentation accurately reflects the intended business relationships.
* Analyze, interpret, and apply different regulatory frameworks across various jurisdictions where the company operates.
* Proactively identify and address potential legal risks and propose effective solutions.
* Assist in finalizing legal documents for execution.
* Provide legal support and oversight for multiple departments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Stay informed of new regulations and industry developments that may impact the company’s business.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
* Fluency in spoken and written English (mandatory);
proficiency in a third language is a plus.
* Over 6 years of legal experience in a law firm or one of the Big Four.
* Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in common law jurisdictions .
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk assessment.
* Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-performance results.
* Experience working with different regulatory environments worldwide, desirable.
* Licensed to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction.
* Master of Laws (LL.M.) preferred.
