About the role
Our Audit team is critical to our business. They work closely with Risk and Compliance to create internal risk‑management and compliance processes, and ensure they’re running efficiently.
We’re looking for a motivated Internal Auditor who specialises in financial crime to support regulatory audits. You’ll be executing internal audits and adapting your skills to auditing new subject matter.
What you’ll be doing
* Developing and executing audit programmes under internal policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
* Optimising data usage in the audit process to enhance risk understanding and deliver pertinent insights.
* Providing input and assisting in identifying relevant risks and regulatory requirements for audit scopes.
* Interacting with staff to obtain a comprehensive understanding of relevant risks, controls, and processes.
* Communicating and discussing findings directly with business unit management.
* Developing audit reports that identify deficiencies and root causes while providing recommendations that add value.
* Conducting research and completing assigned training requirements to maintain professional relevance.
* Partnering with business units to develop recommendations for process optimisation, internal control, and compliance.
* Performing follow‑up reviews of deficiencies noted during previous audits.
* Monitoring audit progress against timelines and managing projects to completion, escalating where required.
What you’ll need
* 3+ years of experience in an audit‑related role within a regulated financial services environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the current regulatory environment, including EU money‑laundering directives, JMLSG, and FATF guidance.
* Familiarity with financial crime controls, such as KYC/KYB, due diligence, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening.
* Motivation to learn, grow, and have an immediate impact as part of an expanding team.
Nice to have
* Experience in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on execution.
* An undergraduate or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
* Proficiency working with and interpreting data using SQL, SAS, or Python.
