Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project‑based subject‑matter experts in all things infrastructure. This hands‑on role involves analyzing problems, offering solutions, testing, modifying, automating, and integrating systems, as well as long‑range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution.
The role isn’t specific to any one platform – you’ll need a solid understanding of multiple platforms and the ability to identify technical and timeline risks early. You’ll work closely with Architects, Technicians, and PMs to deliver deep involvement throughout the lifespan of a project.
Responsibilities
Analyze technical problems and IT issues for current projects, offer solutions, and design and execute testing, modification, automation, and integration.
Engage early with clients and internal teams to determine feasibility and risk, helping shape project scope.
Participate in long‑range strategic planning of IT infrastructure, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring alignment with client needs.
Collaborate with Architects, Technicians, and PMs to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Document and diagram work for hand‑off, providing clear deliverables for clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Technical and Professional Experience
Deep expertise within a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
Enterprise IT application experience.
Hands‑on experience in at least one of: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in public cloud (AWS).
In‑depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience driving engineering solutions and cross‑team collaboration.
Strong process improvement experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to apply general principles to specific problems to produce conclusions and responses.
Excellent judgment, decision‑making, and logical reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
In‑depth knowledge of Amazon cloud hosting architecture with experience in AWS and Azure.
Exceptional judgment and decision‑making abilities.
Familiarity with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals for producing precise technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
