Your profile
* Food handling certificate.
* Minimum of 2-3 previous experience as a sommelier, wine steward, or in a hospitality role.
* Certification as a sommelier or a degree in hospitality is beneficial.
* High level of English essential, Spanish a plus.
* Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of the different types.
* Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries.
* Computer skills an advantage.
* Previous experience in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.
* A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
* A team player, eager to learn and grow within our prestigious establishment.
Main responsibilities and tasks
* Prepare/setup operations according to criteria.
* Follow ordering protocol.
* Control and preservation of stock.
* Implement HACCP and product control in the various sections.
* Be innovative and consistent in quality control.
* Communicate effectively with the students and instructors.
* Provide feedback and support to the instructors concerning student evolvement.
* Make recommendations on food and wine pairings.
* Provide impeccable service to guests, ensuring their dining experience meets and exceeds expectations.
* Knowledgeably present menu items, assist guests with recommendations and accommodate special dietary requirements.
* Manage table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
* Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
* Handle guest feedback with professionalism and tact, resolving any issues promptly to ensure their satisfaction.
* Contribute to a positive and productive working environment, embracing and promoting our establishment's values.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, with a positive and professional attitude.
